Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Tuesday extended their condolences to the families of the victims of a massive explosion that shook Yerevan on Sunday.
In her words Zourabichvili said the incident was “shocking” and expressed solidarity with Armenian citizens.
“Deeply saddened by the shocking explosion in Yerevan. I express my deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones, but also strength and resilience to the emergency workers. I stand with the people of Armenia”, the Georgian President said.
The explosion at the Surmalu shopping centre in Yerevan was followed by a fire, with the number of injured exceeding 60, and 16 people dying as a result of the powerful explosion.
